The final Curtain ....
In Less than 24 hours we will carry our memory filled bags,
take our seats and await the final curtain.
Home, Friends, Family, Molly, Lucy and Cocko are all awaiting.
But we cant all help wishing the end not to be now,
especially me, as I simply cant deny that I am not ready to return.
Even Scarlet and Rod have felt the pangs
of missing the camper and wishing the holiday not to end.
So seven months together in the camper, it hasn’t all be rosy,
But that’s life and would we do it all again,
Yes!, in a flash.
For all the people we have met,
Thankyou!
For making our nights memorable,
For lending a hand,
For sharing a story,
For the chats, the advice and the friendship
We will see you all again,
And probably Park-Up in your yard sometime,
to crack open another French Vino.
And await your knock at our door in Oz.
And for all of you across the globe
Who I have entertained or otherwise
with my travel diary,
thanks for reading and for the emails
its made home feel not so far away.
As we look forward to seeing everyone again,
to share our stories,
to cuddle the cats and lay in our own beds,
to hug everyone we know
and be glad that we arrived home safely
We’re smoothing out the creases of the map,
planning the route for the next much shorter adventure,
with only 185 more sleeps to go, 175, 165, 155 …….
But who’s counting…..
“He who returns from a journey is not the same as he who left”
- Chinese Proverb
